Hacking has its place in the world, but hacking is highly illegal! If you are hacking into an unauthorized system and get caught, not only can you end up with a hefty fine, but you may find that you are spending time in jail.

Please, if you are going to use your newfound hacking skills, you need to make sure that you are only getting into systems that are either your own set up through virtual environments, or into someone else’s system that not only knows that you are trying to hack into it, but has given you written permission to get into their system.

An example could be a company you are working for that has authorized you- in writing- to hack into their system to locate vulnerabilities and security threats.
