The ex-candidates ICT Competence course is designed to equip learners with Information and Communication Technology (ICT) skills that are required for end users.
This course has been benchmarked with industry standards to ensure that the learners are equipped with core competencies in the main area of ICT.
At the end of the training, learners should be able to:
1.Describe the place of ICT in contemporary world and how it applies in various sectors and the different types of hardware and software
2.Use the Internet to search for information, communicate with Internet tools like electronic mail, calendar and other social media applications
3.Use a word processor to create and modify the outlook of documents
4.Use spreadsheet software to add data, undertake calculations on the data using formulas and built in functions and summarise such data in graphical format
5.Design powerful presentations using presentation software
6.Create databases, enter record using forms and generate reports using queries
7.Demonstrate understanding of security threats like cyber security and how to protect their hardware and software from harm.
